One Seattle Plan: Speak Up for Maple Leaf’s Future

Dear Maple Leaf neighbors,
There are changes in the works regarding housing and development in Maple Leaf and throughout Seattle. The One Seattle Plan has been passed by the City Council, and part of Maple Leaf has been designated as a Neighborhood Center.
We can’t change that vote — but as residents, we still have influence on how our neighborhood will be impacted.
The One Seattle Plan needs to be implemented with adequate resources and with meaningful community involvement in shaping how neighborhoods evolve as density grows.
Seattle City Council is currently in budget deliberations, with a final vote scheduled for November 21. Now is our opportunity to urge council members to include funding for neighborhood planning in the 2026–2027 budget.
We encourage you to contact our council members before November 21 and share your support for neighborhood planning resources.
