The Emergency Hub exists to help neighbors support each other in a disaster. We focus on planning, training, and connection—not stockpiling—so that when “The Big One” (or any emergency) hits, Maple Leaf is ready to respond together.

Meetings are often hosted in neighbors' homes, so we don't post the address publicly. A committee member will reach out to share the details and get you signed up.
Neighbors helping neighbors, until help arrives
When a major earthquake or disaster hits, professional responders will likely be overwhelmed. For the first hours and days, neighbors helping neighbors becomes the difference-maker. An Emergency Hub is a volunteer-run gathering point where the neighborhood comes together to share information, pool resources, and help one another until responders arrive. Maple Leaf already has a Hub, a supply box, and a place in Seattle’s citywide Hub network. Come join us and help shape the future of the Maple Leaf Emergency Hub!

Join your neighbors
You don’t need special skills, training, or a lot of spare time. Every neighbor who raises a hand makes the whole neighborhood more resilient. You choose how involved you want to be — from greeting neighbors and spreading the word, to managing supplies, supporting radio operations, teaching prep skills, helping to lead the team year-round, or simply joining our mailing list to stay informed.
Get some basic training and show up to help neighbors when disaster strikes, no prior experience needed.
