Advocacy Co-Chair
What you'd be doing
- Working alongside the Advocacy Committee chair on policy and zoning issues
- Learning how the council engages with the city and organizes community input
- Taking on more responsibility over time, so the committee always has continuity
Every MLCC committee needs a co-chair: someone apprenticing alongside the current lead so committees don't depend on any one person indefinitely. This role lets longtime volunteers eventually roll off while the work keeps going.
What it takes
- Interest in local policy and civic engagement
- About two hours a month, and a willingness to commit for a year or two
