Halloween Parade Crossing Guard

What you'd be doing

• Standing at an assigned intersection along the parade route to help families cross safely
• Keeping an eye out for cars and helping the parade move along smoothly
• Being a friendly, visible presence for neighbors walking the route

No experience needed, just a costume (optional) and a couple of hours on parade day. This is one of the easiest ways to help make a favorite neighborhood tradition happen safely.

What it takes

• Willingness to stand at one spot and pay attention for about two hours
• Comfort speaking up if a car needs to stop or slow down
